I knew I have come across those japanese dolls called kokeshi before and looked them up again. I lvoe the design, and the colours and the cuteness so I started working on the design. Let me tell you, it was not easy to make the base.

This monster was created for a swap over at craftster, my partner had several requests, two of them were a cute monster or a bat, I decided to combine them.
The body from the horns to the bottom is 6 cm, just above 2,5". I made the wings out of leather and wire and attached fake Codrutahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12794443354646236762noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2207228907358363552.post-21236391015258789792011-04-05T12:29:00.001+02:002011-09-26T08:39:48.937+02:00Lunar eclipse inspired journal and trinket boxNot too long ago I joined a star swap, and my partner had different requests. I loved the swap and my partner, we had such great communication.
She told me she wanted to make a visual journal so I made her a journal. This is the first journal I have made but I'm pretty happy about it. I used some night sky fabric to cover the book and punched a lot of holes in the fake leather I bought a while Codrutahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12794443354646236762noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2207228907358363552.post-4787109908425497322011-03-13T23:08:00.000+01:002011-03-13T23:08:16.990+01:00Portrait of my sisters dog, ZicoThis is actually old, it's about 1,5 years old, if not more, but it's still amazing I think. This is a portrait of my sisters dog, ZIco, which I gave to her a few days after it was finished. It's the first time I have drawn on a feather, and it's the first time I have drawn any animals!
A little back story first; a few months before my sisters birthday I stumbled across feather painting, and Codrutahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12794443354646236762noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2207228907358363552.post-58073760511849503522011-03-04T10:21:00.000+01:002011-03-04T10:21:30.706+01:00Dolly DonationsI love links on the internet, by clicking on them I reach new places that I never thought existed.
Yesterday I reached a cute and amazing site, a woman, wife and a mother, her name is Sarah and has a site named Dolly Donations, here is her description of her work:

I have to try and upload stuff quicker to my blog, just in case my PC decides to die, it shouldn't because it's almost new but who knows.
The challenge was to make something out of paper, and there was three different templates to use, I chose the animals.
- First I had to blow up the small animals, print them out andCodrutahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12794443354646236762noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2207228907358363552.post-92049539807581355422011-02-03T07:20:00.000+01:002011-02-03T07:20:59.541+01:00Double chandeliersWhen I first tried out paper cutting one of my younger sisters wanted to try as well. And because I'm who I am I tend to start out with the difficult first.
I can't remember which one I made and which my younger sister made, but both looks amazing I think, as the first time.

I finished the challenge for September quite quickly, strangely enough, but still I was stressing towards the end of the month, only because I was so slow at taking a picture.
For September we had blue netting, white elastic, green yarn, colorful fabric circles, and silver brads to use, I Codrutahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12794443354646236762noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2207228907358363552.post-12510216460316936942010-07-22T17:57:00.001+02:002010-07-22T17:58:10.678+02:00Bride and Groom paper cuttI don't have time to craft, mostly because taking care of my own son (1,5 yrs) and my brother (3,5 yrs) is a lot of work, but also because the owner of the house we are renting sold it, which means we have to move out.
But yesterday I decided to sit down and do something, didn't know what I wanted to do but I had to create.
I wanted to try paper cutting, because I always thought it was Codrutahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12794443354646236762noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2207228907358363552.post-28458670849813380992010-06-29T23:43:00.003+02:002011-04-05T12:31:39.765+02:00June challengeFor the June challenge at Christy Nelson's monthly challenges we had glitter paper, pill bottle, clay, raffia and favour cup to use. When I received the package I had no idea what to do with it, until I got the idea to make a necklace.
After gluing together the raffia I began to make a macramé necklace, adding the favour cup bow, glitter paper rose and clay beads with melted plastic. Because of the destiny my package is travelling and the Constitutional day I had less than a week to complete the craft.
But I succeeded, and here is what I have.
This month we had leather straps, mirrors, floral wire, wreath and styrofoamCodrutahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12794443354646236762noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2207228907358363552.post-76476719453406706852010-05-23T00:34:00.000+02:002010-05-23T00:34:02.851+02:00Red, White and Blue17th May was the Norwegian Constitution Day, and this year I decided to try something new.
I decided Sunday that I wanted to do something special, and something creative because I haven't managed to sit down in a long time to do anything like that.
I used glass beads, small plastic beads, pearls, all in the three colours of my country's flag, and wire, a lot of wire. But for my second post I can give you three little fats about myself.
1: Before my mother married my father (step father) we lived in Romania, so I am Rumanian. But I have lived in Norway since I was six so I consider myself a Norwegian just as much as Rumanian.

This blog will be dedicated to most things I think lies under the category 'creative', and sometimes other things might come along too, we'll see what time brings.
I might not be the kind that has a new post every day, there are so many things I have to do that time is something I can't seem to find enough of.
I can't wait to Codrutahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12794443354646236762noreply@blogger.com2
